For those interested, these are the measurements for a proper installation. The distance between the centerline of the hook bolt and the centerline of the top latch mounting hole should be 1-1/2 inches. The distance between the "latch" mounting holes is 1 inch. Using these measurements will ensure the latch has the correct tension to stay latched. Remember that these measurements must be accurate.
