I have a lot of smallrig stuff and love and appreciate the craftsmanship but any time I can save some money it's a good day. The smaller rig is almost twice the price of this hoodless cage. I am very happy with the quality and fit of this cage. It even came with a sun visor, which I wasn't expecting. Maybe I was just lucky because there was no mention of a hood in the description. Another issue with the Ninja V is that standard-size SSDs stick out about 1 inch. They still work but just don't look right, not to mention I would never spend crazy money on short SSDs just to save 1 inch. The cable retention system on the basket completely hides the large discs, making the installation very clean. If you want to save some money I highly recommend this cage.
