I am very satisfied with these thermal bowls. They are perfect for my needs for serving food hot for my entire meal and storing leftovers in the fridge. The only downside I see is that I can't use them to reheat food as they are plastic with a metal insert so they can't be used in an oven or microwave. But they are an inexpensive and effective serving option for keeping food warm. I also like the decorative design and the lockable lid to prevent spills. You will make a good gift.
