Review on πŸ₯€ Komax Tritan Plastic Pitcher With Lid - 60oz Compact BPA-Free Water Pitcher for Refreshing Beverages: Water, Tea, Lemonade, Milk, Sangria by Steven Saric

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best jug I have ever bought

I like this jug for many reasons. ADVANTAGES: Made of Tritan. This is a very durable plastic that retains its attractive appearance for a long time. - longer than most other plastics. It's BPA-free and the same type of plastic that Nalgene makes water bottles from. It is hard-wearing, hardly scratches and remains transparent for a long time. And it doesn't flex, which I don't like about some plastics used for pitchers. It may be scratched if you drop it, but is unlikely to shatter like glass. And it's lightweight, unlike glass. -- Transparent -- Totally transparent with no tint. I love this as I can easily tell if there is discoloration or something weird growing in a liquid I have. -- Graduated markings on the side -- They are in litres. I don't mind since liters are very close to quarts (1.9 liters = 2 quarts). So if you have a mix that requires 1 liter of water, simply fill the jug to just below the 1 liter mark and you have 1 liter. Even if you fill it up to the 1 liter mark, the difference is so small that you probably won't notice any difference when cooking. -- Save space -- Square shape lets you store more liquid than round jugs with a similar footprint. - Not too big - in my fridge, the top shelf gap is only about 10.25 inches. Many of the jugs or bottles I try to put on this shelf are too big to fit. This 9 inch high pitcher fits in easily. What's more, it even fits under my desktop reverse osmosis dispenser spout with the lid off, so it's easy to fill with clean, filtered water. -- Closed Lid -- While not airtight, it is airtight enough to minimize spills if tipped over. and prevents refrigerator odors from penetrating the jug. CONS - Leaking. Be careful because if knocked over there will be a small leak. Short handle. I was surprised that the handle is so short. Its length is about 2-7/8 inches. It fits my hand easily, but if you have very large hands it can be uncomfortable to grip the handle. Without Krug, Komax could have made the handle a bit longer. takes up more space in the fridge, i don't find the disadvantages to be serious enough to deduct a star, so i give it 5 stars and would happily buy this great jug again.
