aluminum cable? The case is good, sockets are much better than square plastic.

Overview applies to model DRS-1215 - 15Amp Power Strip with Surge Protection Please see the images of the internal device. The strengths are that the case itself is very nice. that's really all I bought it for. The sockets are also of very good quality. The main switch is quite wobbly and wobbly, though. I'll gut it and put switches in place of the front outlets, upgrade the rear outlets and rewire with Romex solid copper. So basically all I needed was something with Edison duplex style front and rear outputs. When I started disassembling it I was very surprised to see that it was sealed with aluminum cables inside! Solid core for sockets. I really don't think this is a major safety or durability issue, just a disappointment using the product as is. because it's in a metal case. But what's even weirder is that the jacks used internally are stamped "Use Copper Wire Only". So, mmm, yes. This might not be a big problem, but you can decide for yourself if you're ok with it.
