I thought long and hard about this purchase before my arm surgery. As feared, the foam wedge is too narrow and unstable with too little gradient. To use it while seated, I have to place my hand over my heart on a pile of pillows and rolled-up blankets. Even when lying down I have to add extra pillows to increase the height and angle of the wedge. An additional three inches of width and height would help stabilize the product for armless use and increase the recline angle for improved swelling control. If I could do it again I would save my money.
