This amazing lightbulb was emitting light. Not just any light, but a light that makes the aquarium look like it's being lit by a CFL. I suspect most of my freshwater fish were happy, although they have so far refused to comment officially. However, the green algae considered it "enough" compared to normal sunlight. The algae are still growing, but complete dominance in the aquarium seems a bit out of reach. The lamp still lasts after a few months. Back? All fluorescent lamps contain mercury. Don't send them to landfills. One day we will have suitable long-life LEDs to reduce the number of lightbulbs thrown away.
