I had rotator cuff surgery in April and was having severe neck pain during my recovery and thought it might help. However, after 2 attempts to use it, I am sending the massager back. While the low profile optical design is appealing (one of the reasons I bought it), the massager itself is not secure. On my first try, I wiped my neck and the massager contacts with a damp towel as directed. For starters, I used the default complex setup. When I didn't feel anything, I pressed "+" to increase the intensity. After the third press, it felt like I was stuck with a straight needle in the back of my head, so I stopped. Thinking I did something wrong or didn't put the device around my neck properly, I charged it again and tried again the next day. This time I was able to top the intensity with the "deep massage" (which was oddly euphoric) with just the occasional pinprick sensation (which shouldn't have happened at all), but when I accidentally touched the outer metal band holding the device with my finger (I had dry hands), I received a fairly strong electric shock that reached the elbow. Luckily I'm in good health so I'm fine but it shouldn't have happened from the start. The dangerous goods report was filed with the Consumer Product Safety Commission today.
