This shelf is great for storing vinyl! I used to use a wooden Crosley box to store my notes, but I got tired of all the notes falling forward or backward and breaking my hands or fingers looking through them. This stand is ideal as it holds the vinyl upright and can be easily pulled out. I would say that you can place 2 to 4 boards between each tier (depending on the thickness of the boards). I bought a used product so I bought it at a discount but I would definitely pay full price for a different one. I was a bit startled as the box was badly dented upon delivery, but to my relief the stand itself wasn't damaged (I think it should be pretty solid). Very happy with my purchase and will be buying more for my growing collection.
