I was looking for a camera that would allow me to see the hitch on my truck when hitching up and then give me a little peek behind my 20ft trailer while towing it off the freeway. Seems like a great solution. Wireless video makes installation easy - no threading wires through or under trailer and truck, just apply 12V and turn on. I decided to connect to the trailer's running lights so the camera was always on when the lights were on. For the license plate cam, I use the reverse light power wire so it only turns on when the truck is backing up (backing up to hitch a trailer). The camera image is much more stable and clear than the cheap off the shelf system I've tried in the past. And the cameras themselves seem to be of really good quality. The camera on the license plate is bigger than it looks in the photos (1 inch cube), but it's not bad. The license plate camera does not have a porthole either, so it relies on the truck's reversing lights. "Night Vision" which makes it a bit difficult to see the hitch on my truck when I get close. But again not bad. Haven't tried it on the road yet, but everything looks good in the yard so far.
