Telescopic shower curtain rods are not very reliable. For me, they always lose tension and flail, which is incredibly annoying when that happens. So this solution is not a problem. Problem is, you can't find something like this at big hardware stores like Lowe's or Home Depot. Instead, Revain has the perfect solution, so cheers for the great price and fast shipping. It works exactly as expected: the adhesive bracket grips the tie rod and adds extra tension with the extra millimeters of material between the cornice and the wall. The self-adhesive backing is also a much nicer alternative to drilling a hole in the shower tile which is required for similar products. I cannot recommend it higher than what I already have. This is the perfect solution. UPDATE: I bought another set because I needed to raise my shower curtain and didn't want to remove the first set. If I could suggest any products, replacing the tape with this sticky silicone stick might be a better option as the pull rod still presses against things, but it's cheap enough that buying a second set is negligible. The only other recommendation I would make would be to offer different colors for popular tile styles as not everyone will have white or beige tiles.
