I was looking at local stores for a case to protect my nano and none of them had what I wanted which was a case with a screen protector. I've either found ones that let you access the ports but didn't have a screen protector, or hard clear plastic that fully protected the Nano but were useless as you didn't have access to the jack or even headphones from it third parties could use. It does the job perfectly. Sure, the Nano isn't as gloriously thin as it was without it, but it's not that huge either. It wasn't difficult to get the Nano in, and while it's difficult to get out due to the deliberately snug fit, it's not impossible. You don't have to take it off permanently because once you turn it on, you still have access to the jack and headphone jacks, as well as the locking button on top. It also doesn't restrict headphone access to a single round hole like some, which would prevent you from using it with a car cassette adapter, for example. You don't have to worry about it being scratched or broken off. The price was right, so I thought it was odd that one of the reviewers thought it was overpriced. He or she may not have looked at many cases, or they would soon find that many iPod cases cost upwards of $25 to $30 in most places.
