Air lift cylinder failed after less than a year of light use (about 2 hours a day and I weigh 165 pounds). At this point, on most occasions when I sat in the seat, the chair sank to its lowest height, 5 inches below full height; it could no longer be locked in its highest position. However, when I contacted the manufacturer, Boss Office Products, they offered to send me a replacement air lift cylinder assembly under warranty that I would have to install myself. It's nice to know that they support their product. This is my second Boss B9090 chair; The first never showed this problem and worked flawlessly for four years.
