This 4 inch pot is very expensive and was priced close to other 2-3 inch pots. I find this size much more versatile than the smaller versions and still fits my countertop perfectly. I love that the tripod legs sit firmly on a standard 4 inch brick stand. The lid is a definite plus and the wire handle is solid and well attached. Cast iron is strong, has a nice rustic look, hasn't cracked or rusted in 3 months of weekly use. Upon receipt I cleaned and lightly oiled the entire kettle and lid and placed in the hot oven for about an hour to season. Previously, it was easy to wipe down after each use. Dimensions: width of inner bowl 4 inches; 6" external width with handles; inner bowl depth 2.75"; 3.75" high without lid including feet; Height 5" with lid including legs. This should last a lifetime with standard cast iron cleaning and maintenance.
