Please try to assemble this as soon as you receive it and don't hesitate like me, otherwise you will also lose 40 dollars and only receive a broken useless stand that can hurt people (so I will never be able to use it) . It took me a couple of weeks to figure out that I need to test how to set up a background for an upcoming event. The instructions seemed simple enough, but I couldn't put it together no matter how hard I tried. After examining the details, I found that one of the studs on the vertical part of the tube was a different size than the other side. A bolt is built into the upper part of the levers on both sides. The horizontal bar has holes for the screws and should stick out about half an inch. A wing nut is used on a protruding stud to hold the stem in place. One of the bolts was inserted so far into the tube that the bolt did not protrude from the lever, making it impossible to attach the staff with a wing nut, which could cause it to fall and injure someone if struck. Upon closer inspection, I found that the shorter bolt tube was also thinner than its counterpart, causing it to slip into the tube it was intended to attach to. I admit it took me a while to communicate with the seller and when I did they said the 30 day return period had expired but they would offer me a replacement stand if I paid for shipping. Again, work commitments (I work 3 jobs!) made me forget to communicate and when I did I saw a message that said 'Call us' which I found odd as the number was not attached. Apparently they sent me the number in a previous email but I assumed they didn't give me the number. When I called them they refused to keep their promise to give me a replacement stand that can actually stand as they claim it was a one time offer and that time is over. So now I have a broken stand that can't stand and I get $40 out of my pocket. I understand it took me a long time to correspond with the seller but regardless of when I communicated the bottom line is that they sell faulty dangerous products and don't seem to care that their products hurt or kill anyone .
