Dirt is light and eventually wears off. Clip is technically a cartridge with six foam darts, not the advertised eight. This is the first vest we have. The front of the vest has a plastic pad on the inside and a plastic tarp on the outside. The back of the vest is open mesh. It is light and comfortable to wear. Camouflage digital print on the outside looks very neat. This is an impressively versatile vest. Some things to watch out for. Cartridge: Said to contain eight foam darts. Can pack eight inches. The clip has six printed on the cartridge. Six is the manufacturer's recommended number to prevent problems such as jamming. Foam darts: We received 30 darts as advertised. On the first day my son played 4 side split darts with them and they stopped working. See my attached photos. My son enjoys playing with them as long as they last. Bag: Claimed to hold 20 foam darts but easily at least 60. My son used this bag for glasses and a headband. We attached it to the vest with one of the side velcro straps. Wrist Dart Holder: Holds eight foam darts as listed. Headband: awesome. Although they are too big for my child. He wants to fall all the time, but he likes it. You may want to raise the raw edges to avoid sagging of the material. Glasses: They seem to be holding up well and fit the child well. An adult may wish to purchase a separate large pair. However, it is sold as a children's set. Vest: Contains many additional items. Two six-dart cartridges fit easily in the mesh pocket on the right side of the vest. There are six slots for darts made of elastic foam on either side of the vest's shoulders. There are also three rubber bands on the left side of the vest for attaching things, be it dart clips, extra Nerf guns, or other miscellaneous items. There are two elastic bands and a mesh pocket on the right side. Summary: I definitely recommend this vest to give children hours of fun. The versatility of this vest allows them to customize gear placement, which my kid loved too. Although I would plan to buy additional darts.
