Worked like a champ.

Bought this tool to completely replace the upper and lower front control arms on my 2009 GMC Sierra 1500. Worked great for separating the upper and lower ball joints from the steering knuckle. Seems strong when I hit it with a two pound hammer. Would recommend to anyone doing car repairs. Comes in a case for easy storage. I haven't used any other type so there may be better tools out there, but for the price I don't think you can go wrong.
