Review on Efficient Charging Solution: Canon Battery Charger CG-800 by Luis Thompson

The CG-800 charger is a great accessory. I use this to charge batteries for my VIXIA HF200. The HF200 comes with a BP-809 battery, which isn't really long enough to record long events, so most people will go with a different battery, probably a BP-819 or BP-827. This is where this charger comes in handy as it allows you to charge one battery with another. Otherwise, you'll have to stop using the camera, find an AC adapter, charge one battery, wait, and then charge another. With small handheld cameras like the HF200, this is of course not an idea. The charger itself is small and light, weighing just 2.8 ounces. It also has foldable power plugs, which is a great feature. It has two LEDs, one orange that lights up while charging and the other green that lights up when the battery is fully charged. The only downside of this item is the price, but you will get a lot out of this accessory if you have two or more batteries. This charger definitely belongs in your camera bag.
