I ordered these license plate screws for my old 1996 Chevy truck. Bought this car without license plate lights. I don't usually drive this truck at night, so it wasn't a problem. I decided to omit the built-in license plate lights and install them. Installation was very easy and straightforward. I needed additional items to complete the installation. This may not apply to your car as mine is older and the wiring is a bit messed up in that part of the car. I bought extra cables and cable connectors with T-clamps. T-clips for attaching any bare wire. An extra wire is needed as the wiring supplied with the screws is very short. For this job, I stripped the ends of the wires, connected one end to T-clips, disconnected the negative terminal on my battery, and was on my way. . My truck had small plastic screw caps that I removed from the screw holes in the bumper. These lights come with two washers to secure them in place. mine is safe After installation I connected the negative battery terminal and voila. I flipped the light switch and it was a success. I didn't take any pictures in the dark, but I can say that it's very bright there. You can still see the brightness in these late afternoon photos. In general I was satisfied with the product. The affordability and ease of installation were easy enough for enthusiasts like me. The material seems durable. I can recommend it to anyone who wants an affordable license plate light.
