Bright as a street lamp. Annoy those around you.

Awesome. Paper white lights or crimson, light green or sky blue. Whatever you program, you will receive it. I bought enough to cover the front of the house, they are the brightest lights on the block and can easily be changed into some cool patterns with whatever controller you get to work. Each LED is individually addressable, which is absolutely amazing for a high-resolution display. I am using the Chinese t1000s controller pictured as a test but soon discovered that a 12 year old boy could program an Arduino and create an impressive display within an hour of searching YouTube. Now I want 20 more threads. And another 3-4 power supplies with 300 watts. These things will get you hooked and your neighbors will call you the new Clark Griswold. Warning, at 5V I had to double the 30ft 14AWG wiring to overcome the IR losses and then reinstall the power supply. in the middle of my display. Both sides of the "end strings" need a pair of 14-10 AWG (+/-) wires behind the strip to compensate for losses at the end, I also had to run a separate pair of 14 AWG wires from the power supply to the start/end of each string . I thought a 250 foot spool of speaker wire would be overkill to tie the strands together. Was I surprised! I soon figured out that I needed a welding cord to power the other end of the cord on my first try. But once I figured out the math, I was able to get it working using a spool of 14 AWG speaker wire from home storage. 4 amps * 0.3 ohms = line loss 1.2 volts --- per 5 meter wire. Wow. But they look fine at 4.7V if you keep the power supply close (3 wires). The neighbor will want you to install for her too.
