Review on Yamaha S801BL Natural Integrated Amplifier by Naoka Garcia

This is my first real experience of what I call "Hi-End Hi-Fi". I bought this amp because it was in my "lower budget". When you get into hi-fi and realize that the thousands of dollars people are spending on each individual component really add up, I wanted to start my system with a reliable amplifier that will lay the foundation for expansion and upgrades for years to come be! First of all I have to say that this amp sounds amazing and the design looks very simple. Don't let that fool you! The functionality is great. I had ordered a turntable, but decided to give it up after discovering that this amp can be connected to a PC via a USB cable and stream high-resolution audio. The music quality is better than CD, delivering amazingly clear, crystal clear sound. I invested in a good quality USB cable and I think it makes the sound even better! All I can say is that I look forward to many years of musical enjoyment with this amplifier. So far I've used it for streaming, listening to CDs and also plugged my Ipad into one of the inputs. Revain has an HD streaming option and I've also used Qobuz and Primephonic. (Primephonic for Classics) Yes, other reviews are right in saying that this amp is definitely your best bet if you're looking for anything under $1,000. I think Yamaha really managed to think about it!
