The first thing to know about removing wallpaper is that there are a variety of paper types and adhesives and some are easier to remove than others. Your first step should be to try and remove the wallpaper by simply lifting it off the wall. I got lucky with two rooms where the paper came off clean enough that it didn't have to be scraped off. Unfortunately, another room and hallway needs cleaning, which is why I bought this product. Paper Tiger is definitely worth a try. Use the tool to cut the wallpaper very loosely. Do not press too hard to avoid damaging the walls. I've used mine on paper over drywall and with a light application there were lots of little scratches and a nice pile of wallpaper dust on the floor when it was done. Then I used a spray bottle with 2/3 hot water and 1/3 white vinegar. I applied large amounts of water where the walls were damp but not dripping. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then come back to scrape it off. I used the Zinsser scraping tool and was very happy with the results. I would say I spent about three times as much time cutting the paper as I did actually scraping. The scratched and damp paper was easy to remove with a scraper, and if you scratch diligently you may not have used enough water or left it on for too long. If that still doesn't work, maybe a solvent like DIF is fine. Much luck!
