Review on Contact Thermometer Infrared Accurate Function by Ginny Gregory

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to use. Child care

This digital thermometer can measure forehead temperature, ear temperature and surface temperature of other surfaces/objects. I bought it because it can measure forehead temperature, but I wanted to try the ear temperature method. I couldn't remove the gray tip to use the ear temp method so can't tell if it works or not. It is possible to have tone or no tone, measure in F or C and again ear, forehead or surface. I found that everything I was able to test worked well (except for the hearing aid, which I cannot test). It features an AUTOMATIC shutdown after approximately 5 seconds of inactivity, helping to extend battery and product life. You press the button/trigger and the device turns on. Press again to get readings. F1 to select SOUND or Mute, F2 to select between F and C. F4 to measure surface temperatures. the desired options. I find the thermometer EASY to use (pull the trigger, press a few buttons and you're good to go. Once the batteries are in place, which are NOT included of course, but that doesn't really matter as it takes a standard AAA size battery), RELIABLE (I've scanned and measured many heads, wrists and surfaces with it and all temps are accurate. I've checked a few with another thermometer to be sure but can't measure the counter temp with a mouth thermometer) and EASY to read. I read a comment or two from an older group about batteries being difficult to put in, so I traced the + sign on the inside of the battery door with a permanent marker for my family to show how to put the batteries in so that it easy for me is reading even in bad conditions. Lighting. I would buy it again.
