Review on πŸͺ‘ HON Exposure Mesh Task Computer Chair with Adjustable Arms for Office Desk, Black (HVL721), Back Support by Sarah Dionne

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fast Response - Will update over time

To give a little context I once had a Herman Miller Aeron chair - it was great until it started falling apart which is about 2 years later started. I was shocked at the cost. Then switched to a more expensive IKEA chair - for that price I could buy a new one every year for 5 years and still save money compared to the Herman Miller chair (and I didn't have to buy it every year, I ran closer to each). 2.5-3 years). It was time for a replacement and I decided to revisit the market to see if there was anything better. This chair caught my attention and based on the features, the cost, a review from a consumer review site that I trust very much, etc., I bought it. Also, I'm about 6ft 1in tall and weigh 230 pounds. First comments: + Arrived in a sturdy box, all well packaged and protected + Requires an Allen key and screws clearly visible, with an extra set of each screw (small but welcome in case something goes wrong) + Instructions "based on pictures" , crisp and easy to understand - a bit small to fit on one page (double sided) but acceptable + Took 15 minutes to put everything together + Everything works as it was/should (and smoothly) - / + The arm pads have a SMALL cushion, so not too comfortable (but that's a $200 chair, too); However, the armrests can be easily removed (if I decide I don't like them) without compromising the integrity of the chair or its appearance (which doesn't really matter in a virtual office, but may matter in other circumstances). The seat seems fairly comfortable, but it clearly needs some time before I can really judge it. So I will update this review in the future. I hope this helps and gives you an idea of things you might have wanted to know.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Too long to wait
