Review on Leviton 80409-W 2-Gang Decora/GFCI Device Wallplate - Standard Size, White - Premium Quality, Easy Installation by Caleb Eichbauer

A few things to do with this wall plate. First is the size. Some people say it's less than usual. I can promise you this is exactly the size it should be. 4-1/2" X 4-9/16". This is the standard size. In comparison, my old plate is 15 years old and cracked when it was removed from the wall to be painted (left). The new plate is the same size. There are 2 additional sizes if you want to cover a larger area. The next size is "Medium" and finally the largest is "Oversize" or "Jumbo", depending on the manufacturer. Second, it's the type of material. This plate is "thermoset" which means it is a hard plastic. It has NO flex, so unless you have a perfectly flat surface, don't use this plate (or do what I do and put some caulk around the edge; looks perfect afterwards). If you need a flexible sheet, go with the ones labeled "Thermoplastic" or "Nylon" (these are sold at most large stores). I personally like thermoset sheets; I think they look better. And the price is insanely cheap now; a little over a dollar. I will buy a few more. Or maybe I just got lucky but all 4 packages came with their own screws.
