I ordered these boots hoping they would fit my son. He wears a size 1-2 for big kids and the smallest available was a size 4 for big kids. Surprisingly, they fit my son perfectly! Of course, you don't want your winter boots to be too tight to put on thick socks, but even with those socks, the boots worked just fine. They are attached with a nice Velcro system and are very soft on the inside. My son loves soft things so boots are a winner for him. The tread on the bottom feels like it will hold up well as it's good thick rubber. Although clips are visible on the side of the boots, they are for show only. After 1 ride in the snow, my son's feet were dry. They were still a little cold but it was better than other shoes that would soak up water. Overall I am happy with my purchase and hope the shoes will hold up well enough to be passed on to younger children.
