I bought a size up and can be worn over a coat or wrapped around the neck and pulled through the loop. There are also loops for attaching to a jacket or coat. I have some cute denim jackets they have so I can add them as needed. The material is comfortable - not too soft, but not hard. I bought a fleet and it looks rich. I would recommend. This is a great way to spice up an outfit and also keep you warm when you need it.
