Ease of use in monitors

Our new baby was a baby in intensive care and of course we get nervous at night. There is a part of the mind. The great thing is that you can have the information on your phone. But this is also a minus. You can't be too far from it, and you MUST keep the app open in the background on your phone (at least) for it to work. Otherwise you have a dead product. All information such as heart rate and temperature at the touch of a button. You can also customize the product in the app, e.g. B. change the name and add an image of your choice. There's also no way of knowing how "often" the heart rate readout will appear. The temp is also a bit of an issue as it doesn't show the 'real' temp as it's on the leg. For example, if the foot is exposed to a fan, the temperature will not be as accurate as the body may be warmer than the foot. We have compared this product to another we have but this is a "live monitoring" product. This means it has a cord that plugs into a portable machine and wraps the other end around the foot. Almost like in the hospital. We were surprised at how accurate this instrument was compared to a hospital oximeter. Conclusion: Great, but in need of improvement. If you have extra money then I recommend. Also, and this is for education only, I would recommend getting a portable pulse oximeter.
