It definitely works. I can add to the list of users who learned the hard way

I just received the jacket yesterday and wore it today for the second day of my riding course. The first half of the day was dry and cloudy. Ideal for training. Then it started raining. The course only stops for a flash, so we were still driving. In one exercise they had us accelerate quickly and then brake hard before turning. The bike comes out right under me and I slide about 15 feet down the sidewalk with the bike on top of me. The carbon fiber shoulder pad absorbed 95% of the impact and I walked away with a small rash on my knee and my entire shoulder still intact. In short. It definitely protects as it should and does it pretty well. Definitely recommend.
