The cable became unreliable and stopped charging

I've only been using these cables for 6 months and all the ones I've bought have stopped charging my iPhone reliably for some reason. This is especially a problem with these cables as other cables charge my iPhone just fine the first time I connect them. That one perfect combination will make him want to start charging. Incredibly frustrating and I don't know what's wrong. If they can't load reliably, they're basically broken to me.
