My great uncle wore this exact shoe when I was a kid. I've worn them for almost 50 years. But I will never wear it again. Now it's garbage. Made in China, size is about ONE number smaller, size M about AA. My closet is full of Timberland shoes, but these are the last pair I'll ever buy. You really should see her. The front of the shoe is about 2 inches wide - no American in the world could put their foot in it if they didn't have toes. Assuming they were made the way they used to be I threw away the box and packing material so I'm trying everything I can to make them wearable. I soaked them in leather honey, wore them barefoot for 2 days and smoothed out the misplaced seams with VISE GRIPS. Terrible, terrible shoes.
