These postcards should be a lasting keepsake for the bride. It's great when your close friends and relatives share their advice with the bride. After buying three different pens, I settled on the Office Depot brand. I told everyone to be careful when writing because the ink might smudge. Even with the best pens I could find, and anyone who was careful, the ink smeared, as did the advice. The wax finishing of the cards made it impossible to give the bride beautiful keepsakes forever. The fact that the advice was smeared was disappointing and embarrassing. What a disappointment. I suppose pencils could have been used but I don't think the postcard would have looked that pretty.
