🎉 Lark & Clam Codenames Deep Undercover 2.0 - Limited Edition Adult Party Board Game for Game Night Review

This game is a blast! Read all instructions first! I buy a lot of games and this is one of my favorites. It's good for thinking people and probably easier if you're playing with someone you know. Tips others might not understand, but your partner knows exactly what you're talking about.

This is the adult version of the very popular Codenames family game. Took this while on an adults only vacation in Cancun to play in the evenings. What nonsense! We played it several times! It's also easy to transport as the game pieces are just a couple of decks of cards that you can stuff in a zipped bag in your suitcase and leave the box at home.

We often play normal code names with our friends. I wanted to change it up by adding more words and there aren't many options. I tried it and almost everyone agreed that the words are too strange. And we are NOT hypocrites. It's just a lot more fun to play a normal game. Our next purchase will be the Duet version. Wish one had been available instead.

Not for children. It's not a problem for me, but it needs to be said before trying. Same as its predecessor: to be honest it's a bit like "hard mode" because a lot of the words are similar. I found I put more effort into separating words than linking them, which is a lot of fun! I highly recommend it as an addition to your codename arsenal.

I'm that idiot consumer who doesn't equate "adult play" with sexual code words. I assumed it was intended for adults because the game is a bit difficult for young minds. Read the description, friends! Leave it on the shelf for a family game night. I love the original, versatile game. It's a true test of player creativity in a straightforward, easy to set up, and easy to understand group fun game.

Both this and the original version are a very fun family party strategy game with jokes and silliness. This is the adult version, so before you warn, all words are common words and rude. I had to look up a few, I wasn't sure where, but I played this with my parents and was hysterical to hear them hint at swear words. If that's not for you, I recommend the original game, which has no dirty words but the same fun strategy and heartbreaking laughter.

Codenames is a great game, but I accidentally bought the "adult" version as a gift, which contains a high percentage of highly sexual content. I suppose with the right group it would be fine, but if you want to use the game with any group I wouldn't recommend it. So when you buy Codenames (which is great), keep the edition in mind. I never thought there were multiple addons so it's my fault I bought the wrong version. I have the normal version.

My wife's extended family are game fans. I'm usually pretty dissatisfied with all of this, but for Thanksgiving they introduced me to Codenames, a really well thought out game. What sets Codenames apart from many other card games is its longevity. You can literally never repeat the same game. It's also not a casual game like Cards.
