Review on CFexpress Portable Aluminum Thunderbolt Connection by Tom Lantz

This item looks very well built and has some weight. I've used my camera to connect to a PC, but once I have my RF 28-70mm F2 beast I have no plans to tether this beast to my desktop with a camera body. So I looked at CFE card readers and came across this product with an attractive price and great reviews. This card reader is incredibly fast, capable of transferring data at 1000MB/s using the included but very short USB-C cable. I ended up using a longer 3-foot cable to connect other devices via USB-C if needed, with more headroom that dropped speeds to 430MB/s. This transfer rate is still sufficient for my needs! Highly recommended! Update: I ended up buying a Thunderbolt cable and doing some testing. This cable worked better and the read and write speeds were up to 900MB/s+! An amazing reader paired with a quality USB-C cable.
