Gets very hot, good for memory card accessories

Works well. BUT it gets very hot; almost too hot to touch when downloading files and just plugging in when a card is in. It speaks heat when plugged in, even if it doesn't contain a card. Therefore, you should always unplug the card reader from your computer when not in use. Otherwise, it's fast and transfers files accurately.

Good value for money! Suitable for computers and accessories

Required to transfer the downloaded update file to a new digital camera. I used it to format a CF Express memory card at a low level and then transferred the file from my Windows 10 laptop to the memory card with no issues. Then I moved the card into the camera, which read the file with no problems and did a successful update. I can't comment on overheating issues as it hasn't been used for a very long time, but the card reader stayed at room temperature in that short amount of time. The reader

Working as advertised

Real plug and play example. SD card reads quickly with no problems. As people rely more and more on laptops, tablets, and phones for their computing needs, there is a constant need for a way to read SD cards from our digital cameras, phones, and other devices. It used to be the desktop role when that organic capability was built into the tower or chassis. This device gets the job done quickly and easily. This reader works anywhere you can plug in a USB port, making moving files to SD cards a…

Card Reader for Sony XQD Flash Memory Card from Nikon Z6/Z7 Camera

I used this for my new Nikon Z7 camera to read/download flash memory cards from the camera with faster download speeds. New Nikon Z6 / The Z7 cameras use a new Sony XQD flash memory card. This Ketakyreader has 2 slots, one for small SD cards (used in Nikon compact and later D-series SLR cameras) and one for medium-sized QXD cards (now used in full-size Nikon Z-series cameras). Mirrorless housings. This reader has spring-loaded slots to slide cards back when pushed down, just like the…

It's not 10GB on computer accessories and peripherals

I have ProGrade 1700MB/s CF Express B cards that I've tested for accurate performance on other hardware. I have internal NVme drives on my computer. I also have a 10G NIC and a 10G NAS with 12 hard drives. I can reach speeds of up to 1250 MB/s. when writing to NAS and 3500 MB/s when writing to NVme. The USB port that this card is connected to is a super speed port. I have external SSD drives running at 150MB/s through this port. However, when using this USB-C memory card reader, the speed does…

Excellent card reader CF Express Tybe B

This item looks very well built and has some weight. I've used my camera to connect to a PC, but once I have my RF 28-70mm F2 beast I have no plans to tether this beast to my desktop with a camera body. So I looked at CFE card readers and came across this product with an attractive price and great reviews. This card reader is incredibly fast, capable of transferring data at 1000MB/s using the included but very short USB-C cable. I ended up using a longer 3-foot cable to connect other devices…

Very slow work, disappointment

This reader was very disappointed. Extremely slow. I'm having a hard time getting 65-70Mbps when plugged directly into a USB 3.0 port using the original cable. It usually copies 35-45MB, which is below any industry standard. I get more on SD cards and reader on the same port. My camera is faster when copying files to the same port using a USB cable (using the same CFE card). Thus, the device is useless because it does not fulfill its main function. The original cable is too short to…
