This is my second tablecloth of this type, so I like it very much. The first lasted for 5.5 years of daily use. I keep a pad and tablecloth on the table to protect the inlaid wood top from everyday wear and tear in high traffic areas. I like this rag because it looks like fabric but can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. His looks are convincing enough that one family member doesn't want to put their plate on the feast for fear it might stain my "nice tablecloth". She was very surprised when I got her to touch it to prove it was plastic and wouldn't be damaged. This plastic tablecloth is also quite durable. It has definitely survived earlier plastic "lace" tablecloths. My previous tablecloth was unfortunately damaged 5 1/2 years later by an incident where a handful of steak knives were neglected, followed by an incident where a heavy object with a burr on the underside then punctured small holes in it. It also had a faint red stain from the red enchilada sauce that wasn't wiped off immediately. If I ever find out how to remove plastic red chilli stains I'll try to remember to update this review!
