Review on πŸͺœ LuisLadders 8.5 Feet Telescoping Ladder - Multi-Purpose Extension Ladder with One-Button Retraction, Anti-Pinch & Anti-Slip, 330 lb Capacity by Cory Mosley

Perfect except: building materials

Not too heavy, easy to carry when closed, has velcro so it doesn't come loose in transit. Very cool design and when fully open (and fully secured) it feels solid due to its foldable design. Here are the issues, the first is a major security hazard and why I might need to reset it -1) the bottom set of latches - one of them doesn't fully latch when the last one is extended to its full length. I was about halfway through when it started to lean to one side because the side of the ladder with that latch wasn't supported because the latch wasn't locked. Luckily I was on the stairs and fell on the top. I figured I didn't latch it properly when I deployed it, so I tried opening and closing it a few times and each time the latch wouldn't close. I had to put my foot on the ground and pull up pretty hard to snap the latch. This is a huge safety risk and will likely require a product recall if sold in US stores. However, when pulled into the locked state, it is very strong. But what if it's being used by someone else who doesn't know anything about the quirk of this staircase? Maybe next time you fall down the stairs the wrong way and break your neck? 2) The plastic pads at the top of the stairs that lean against the wall are hard plastic, while the bottom caps are rubber, which is good for a secure grip on the floor. If you lean it against a wall and add weight and pressure as you lift it, there's a good chance the hard plastic will dent it. This is also a safety issue as the rubber cap on top minimizes ladder tip sway. This was a design flaw of the original product. Maybe a stuck bar just needs a little massage or oiling. If this fixes it I will update my review. Overall a really great product with only a few flaws. One of them could just throw you to your death.
