Purchased to connect a Focusrite Clarret 8PreX audio interface to a Lenovo ThinkCentre M920q equipped with an OEM Thunderbolt expansion card. I first bought an Apple adapter and it worked and connected well but the audio was buggy. So I paid twice as much for this item, and it's literally an inert piece of plastic. Might be a bad block but I don't have another TB device/computer to test with. In any case, I strongly recommend considering an Apple device before paying twice as much for it. Also, FWIW, I was able to fix the buggy sound by reducing the buffers.
