The finish and feel of the three piece paddle was poor. When connecting the blade parts, there was play between the underside of the blade shaft and the middle part of the shaft. The adjustable top bar clamp does not hold the top firmly in place, resulting in twisting and slipping while paddling. The attached picture shows the destruction of the material of the center section of the rod. Occurs on first paddling after about two dozen paddle strokes. The paddle was used in the ocean (away from the beach) in the surf at a depth of 1 to 1.5 feet in light winds from shore. Spend your money on another product.
