Not exactly what I wanted, but basically everything is fine.

As a side note... Who makes use of operating systems that are based on the Linux kernel. Afterwards, the NAS is rapidly and automatically identified and shown in the Nautilus file manager in the GNOME 3.X graphical environment by making use of the AFP protocol, which is an intriguing development. And there are no issues to speak about. Without making any further adjustments to the parameters.

Pros
  • - A gigabit network card that is built in. - One USB 2.0 port in addition to two USB 3.0 ports. - Room for two hard disk drives (HDDs) or solid-state drives (SSDs) with a total capacity of up to 12 terabytes (that is, two disks with a capacity of 6 terabytes each). RAID 0 and 1 combined. However, you also have the option of installing a single hard drive. You are also able to monitor the status of your hard drives through the web interface (S. M. A. R. T.). - A wide variety of transfer protocols, including SMB, NFS, AFP, FTP, TFTP, and WebDAV. It is possible to use a web server that offers support for PHP, MySQL, SSL, and other technologies. Installing ZyXEL WorldPress can even be done via the Application Center thanks to the availability of this option. You have the ability to set up synchronization with Google Drive and DropBox. - You are able to set up your very own OwnCloud Server. Further information can be found at the ZyXEL Application Center.
Cons
  • - Do not position it so that it faces the area in which you sleep. It is in your best interest to relocate to a location where it cannot be heard. For instance, I stored it in the nightstand by placing a piece of dense foam on top of it. It is now totally inaudible, as if it never existed un the first place. - The mobile application can no longer be used in any way. I'm referring to the ZyXEL Drive here. Because of that, I was never able to join this NAS, not even on the network in my own home. - When you turn on WebDAV, this NAS immediately starts experiencing hiccups. That is, in the event that it is unable to enter the settings when logged in as the Administrator for the initial attempt. The computer only "says" that the password is incorrect rather than really checking it. After sending an email to ZyXEL's technical assistance, I received a response stating that the company had duplicated my situation at home and indeed detected a fault. However, they responded by saying that they were unable to solve this problem and that they would not attempt to fix it in the future. In most cases, the only thing that can be done to fix this issue is to turn off WebDAV and avoid using it.

The item is ok but not fully compliant with the description.

The instructions do not indicate that before setting up, you need to reset to the factory settings. After being transported in the car, I lost one of the disks and squealed. Opened the lid, disconnected, connected both disks, launched - I saw the second disk. The array is being restored. 2 disks of 4TB recovered in 12-13 hours with no load.

I like it, thank you for the quality product.

If you find any of my writings to be helpful, it will make me happy. Although not everyone requires fine tuning, you will already be prepared for difficulties before making a purchase =. If it were possible to stream content directly from the cloud, then these NAS devices would be almost entirely superfluous. The purchase is one that I do not come to regret. The benefits of it include: I apologize in advance if I sound like I'm rambling. Price is always a factor. There were two compartments for

It was a terrible purchase, but I wasted my money.

Oh, that devilish carrot! Purchasing is NOT something I recommend doing! The entirety of the brain will persist until you configure it. And if this new us is meant to take the place of the old one, then the whole thing is a catastrophe because. Due to the fact that the disks are full and there is nowhere else to put the information, I have unfortunately lost a lot of things. Got pros: Multifunctionality. work speed. interface for the year 2022's language. picking Cons: You need a separate…

Good product for me, no problems at all.

Not checking was done by services such as a personal cloud and similar ones. Yuzal is only intended to be used as a filesharing server, backup server, torrent server, and media server. In general, I believe that for less than 8,000 dollars, an outstanding device. Plex is unable to install, unfortunately :( The firmware does not experience any lag and continues to function normally. With its benefits including: a simple process for setting it up - intelligent firmware, with the capability to…

A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

Bought to replace the Stora from Netgear because flash support has been withdrawn, and the Stora has a control panel on flash. Are you kidding me? Perhaps, but I use it for torrenting, and then I distribute the content to two other television sets, and it handles this job quite fine. I have made a copy in my Google Drive. discarded photographs from the collection. Other than the volume of the fan, nothing else worries me. However, I deposited it on the highest shelf of the toilet, and I almost…

Pros
  • Functions just as it should.
Cons
  • Noisy fan There will be no synchronization with.

The best I ever used, recommend it to everybody.

The device was removed so that a RAID1 array could be used to organize the storage of a family's photo and video collection. I won't discuss the technical details in my review; instead, I'll focus on my personal experiences with the product. Let's start with the drawbacks. Even though plastic is used in many areas, it is of very high quality. Although it's not composed of aluminum, the images give the impression that it is. Plastic makes up the entire enclosure as well as the disc cassettes…

Pros
  • Price, craftsmanship, two-year manufacturer's warranty, and functionality.
Cons
  • the case's construction, the absence of instructions for 2022, and the lack of a disk containing software.

High-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.

In sum, I put in a few weeks of driving time, and the flight is perfectly typical. I was able to get it connected via the seventh class of the router's gigabit port. I don't know what more to say, it's fantastic. Streaming There was no indication in the evaluations as to whether or not it was common practice to watch 4K content via streaming on a smart TV. I knew the odds weren't in my favor, but I took the chance nonetheless. I was worried it wouldn't work. However, everything is OK because…

Pros
  • Watch 4K movies online without interruptions. Setup and assembly are a breeze. Activated and ready to go. The engine is Linux.
Cons
  • When you have many Transmission downloads pending, the system hangs. But they are effective. The early 2022 web interface. However, in theory, anything can be set up. Through ssh, even the unthinkable becomes possible. It's not insulated from outside noise in any way. It will shake if the screws make noise. That's why it's smart to install in a remote area.

I like it, thanks for the quality product.

It was used for setting up a private cloud at home. After two months of work, I finally got to start my journey. Apparently, I was given one flawed item. The cloud was unstable, but after a full round of fixes from technical support and a replacement hardware upgrade, everything is running like clockwork. In my setup, the border router is also a Zyxel, so everything is in sync and I have no idea why others are having trouble getting UPNP to work.

Pros
  • Doesn't heat up and performs virtually perfectly.
Cons
  • Over the course of a year and a half, I was unable to uncover any issues.

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The purchase did not bring joy, the product is bad.

Do not anticipate much from the budget model. I was aware of this and mentally prepared before making the purchase that I didn't need all the bells and whistles, such as WebDAV, ownCloud, or zCloud; I simply needed RAID1 and access to data over the local network so that it would be quiet and take up little space. However, work might be done on the primary functionality. The default file manager is an awful place. Students would smoke cigarettes in jealousy as they sawed through government…

Pros
  • Price.
Cons
  • unfinished software.

For the purpose that I had in mind, a network-attached storage device (NAS) was required so that I could store crucial files that were shared by multiple individuals in a relatively small office. This NAS takes care of this challenge with flying colors. Because to RAID 1, we were able to ensure that none of our essential data would be lost by installing two 6 terabyte screws in the mirror and transferring all of our information there. Speed: the speed at which it can be worked with in LAN…

Pros
  • In my experience, this is the only file dump and crucial file archive software that is both quick and offers the best price currently available on the market. Nothing sluggish, freezing, or otherwise lagging happens at any point. Simply turn it on, configure it, and then forget about it.
Cons
  • According to what they write, Zuhel will stop consuming software and firmware in this model going forward. It's a shame. However, in the most recent iteration, everything is functioning perfectly.

Wonderful quality, one hundred percent satisfied!

I brought a movie library, pictures, music, and everything else home for storage (DLNA). FTP servers and torrent downloads are also available. I placed two screws (4 TB each) from the WD40EFRX series inside, which, as I had anticipated, allowed the "mirror" to format them. In general, I'm happy with everything; there aren't any severe criticisms. There weren't many seconds: 1. The NAS's ftp port forwarding settings "lost" (i.e., ceased to be operational) while arranging access via ftp. When…

Pros
  • Compact size; a simple UI; stable performance in 2022. 4. Fairly silent.
Cons
  • See remarks

It was a reasonable purchase, I will order more.

The problem turned out to be in the firmware of the router, and not this device; however, I did not want to be friends with the TV via DLNA for a very long time. Once the firmware was updated, everything functioned perfectly. Different pros: It functions faultlessly, and devices such as smartphones, laptops, and televisions get along famously with it. Using an older router with a transfer speed of less than 100 mbt, it is possible to stream 10 GB of video at 1080p resolution using DLNA. Below…

The product did not disappoint, the quality pleases.

After enduring WD's MYBOOKLIVE, I found this NAS to be really satisfying. After chatting with customer service, remote access was established up. A little different than I'd want, but if I'm not mistaken, UPNP setting ports or my manually forwarding them makes no difference. Therefore, in order to access the NAS from the outside world, you must forward ports 80 and 443 for the web interface and zCloud, as Zyxel Drive is no longer supported. Access through WebDAV will be granted after ports 5002

Pros
  • Access your NAS from anywhere with the help of DAmazon (own zyxel-ovsky). In the upcoming years, I pray that the cloud does not perish. Last night I decided to check out Transmission's capabilities, downloading some torrents from work and then watching a movie when I got home.
Cons
  • Zyxel's software is unreliable and rarely performs as expected. We can no longer guarantee the proper operation of Zyxel Drive. zCloud can be used, but it must be set up manually. The administrator's password is flying about for some reason. For safety's sake, I made a second administrator.

It is simple to disassemble, radiators are available for purchase (I chose small ones in the shapes of a chip and a dip for a memory chip and a processor), and the storage is now less loud. The processor needs a bigger fan, which would make it even silent. What stopped the maker from doing it themselves? Is this a classic case? The metal interior of the case prevented it from being turned into a basket for disks in system units. Both coolness and simplicity of installation are present here. Why

Pros
  • Simple setup. My Sony TV proposes to awaken the dozing store since there is a wake on the local area network.
Cons
  • Ultimate reduction. They even fastened the radiator onto the processor, which causes it to heat up. In an effort to lower the temperature, the fan blows vehemently in the other direction (out of the case). noisy and dumb as a result. The passageway is lit up by indicators like a guiding star. Why are you like this, developers? This is a home use only gadget!

Place two screws on the desktop, one each from Hitachi and Seagate. Even if the screws are secured with rubber bushings, the rumbling that can be heard when everything is quiet is unfathomable. After exchanging the Hitachi for a more quiet WD Purple, the situation became somewhat more intriguing; nonetheless, a hum can still be heard, which appears to be coming from the Seagate. The NAS is an excellent concept, and the implementation is really simple. I'm delighted so far. Make sure you…

Pros
  • Something that is quite helpful
Cons
  • There is a slight buzzing coming from the screws.

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The product did not cause delight, but you can use it.

The first one was discovered to have a damaged flash drive, with no settings saved at all and around four faulty blocks. I had to adjust. Although there were already 7 bedov (apparently this is the norm for them), the second one had already been saved. Installed entware-ng and mc quietly. I had to purchase a few USB3 enclosures so I could insert files from old disks. As demonstrated by mc, copying via USB 3 can reach 90 Mb/s. I do not suggest using Samba for backups because Mitrastar's Chinese…

Pros
  • 512 RAM, USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit, Linux inside with additional package installation support.
Cons
  • There are numerous errors in the nand flash disk. web interface for Python that is outdated. Occasionally, settings might not be stored at all. Samba is crooked right out of the box.

In general, the item offers great value for the price. Although you shouldn't have too high of expectations from it, it is pretty capable as a dependable network storage device for access from your home network and over the Internet. There are no issues with the Gigabit network port's data transfer speed. But the intrusive fan is a drawback. makes irritating noises. Additionally, I advise changing the cooler to a silent one if the gadget is in the living room. The storage enclosure is the ideal

Pros
  • Excellent price/quality ratio and usefulness
Cons
  • Fan that makes a lot of noise, casing that makes a lot of noise, and no means to establish a content index (which is useless if you have a lot of data in storage because you can't search for them).

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Does not meet my expectations, it was not worth buying.

The strategy called for the purchase of a NAS with two disks, followed by the construction of a raid system that would be both quick and capable of storing movies and television series. Only in jbod mode was a speed that might be considered acceptable overall. It found out that the hard drives were excessively noisy, just like the NAS device itself. Recommendation. It is recommended to utilize a NAS with a single disk and install an SSD drive in it. it requires less cooling, it generates less…

Pros
  • The cost is reasonable, and the speed of 4k seems to be adequate.
Cons
  • It was discovered that the speed in raid mode was significantly slower than the pace in jbod mode. As a direct consequence of this, I wound up having twice the amount of space that I had anticipated obtaining. There were multiple occasions in which the NAS simply froze and required a powerless restart. Because the NAS was not in the location specified in the instructions, I was unable to tune in. Because of this, I was required to download a specialized program and configure it using that application. The most recent version of the firmware

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great value for the money, definitely recommended!

Who writes about the low speed of copying - most likely you run into the speed of the router. I had a 100 megabit - the speed was 10Mb / s, I replaced it with a normal gigabit, the speed is a little more than 100Mb / s. Has some pros: All the pluses have already been described in other comments - this is functionality, speed, not loud operation (you can hear the cooler if you put nas nearby, if you put it away from the computer, you can't hear it). With its cons: No obvious ones yet. Interface…
