Not a bad product, but I expected a little more.

The declared functions of cloud storage perform normally, but even for such a low price they could be hung with convenient functions and make the interface simpler. For example, there is a real lack of an application for viewing the entire contents of a disk with the "Share Link" function, as in the same .Disk. That is, as an external drive in Windows Explorer, only one of the standard folders (directories) is connected and you can only copy files back and forth. I got a product already…

The perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

Bought a NAS for home after having bad experience with D-Link Amazon-325 (Feroceon 88FR131 @400MHz, 256MB). I was ready for thenetwork exchange speed to be at the level of 20Mb / s write, 70Mb / s read. As a result, the result exceeded expectations. But first of all, I wanted to get rid of the brake and wonderful firmware. Why is she weird? I'm used to the simpleorganization of disk space, without LVM, tricky partition table, non-obvious numbering and unreadable partition labels. However…

The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

A very nice thing with a beautiful and clear interface. In addition to the standard NAS functions of file storage, media server, cloud storage, torrent download, etc. you can install a package of third-party applications that allow you to directlycomntrol the operating system itself. For example, enable / disable daemons such as samba (if the interaction is via nfs and it is not needed), modify cron, monitornetwork traffic and system calls. This package even has MidnightCommander and unrar…

Pros
  • Excellent functionality. Easy setup. Nice price.
Cons
  • So far, I haven't noticed anything worth paying attention to.

Good Budget NAS

I was looking for a low-power, low-temperature, low-temperature NAS to play movies and music. and set it up. The online configuration got a bit tricky because I had drilled holes in my AT&T router/firewall, but once I did that everything worked fine. Bandwidth is more than enough to be a media server for HDTV (I don't have 4K so can't try it). The UI is a bit clunky, but overall not too bad once you get the hang of it. via Internet. But for those in IT, this is a nice little NAS.JP

Many editions, do not buy

Do not buy. Lots of Questions I'm very technical, I build computers, servers, install networks and have many other NAS devices with 2-8 drives from other manufacturers. I have a few hard drives and thought I'd give this unit a try. I got it today, plugged it in and I always update the firmware of anything I buy before I use it, so it said there was a new firmware, so I did the update, then the device homepage disappeared, everyone Applications disappeared, you can see your hard drives on your…

Damn good deal - works great for me as a home media cloud

Overall I'm VERY happy with this NAS. Setup wasn't painful and performance over Ethernet is great. Through Wi-Fi it hangs, but overall very well. The "findme" utility, as others have said, didn't work for me, but the direct link provided worked fine. The device detected that the hard drive was already formatted, so installing the hard drive was easy/quick. The system creates predefined directories for the comparison, which was a bit annoying at first. You *can* set up your own directory and put

Nice device but firmware issues

I had it for a month before the system firmware update (5.2) froze the device and even after powering it off and doing some factory resets I couldn't get the WebGUI to view or download files. I formatted my drives (removed and placed in a USB enclosure) and although the Zyxel app "findme" (and launcher) found the drive, I was unable to initialize the drives. I contacted Zyxel support and to their credit they responded very quickly via email. They tried to help me on the phone to reset the…

Decent NAS if you get it right

This is a decent 2-bay NAS. Just throw in a couple of 2TB or 4TB drives configured as RAID 1 and you're good to go. After you complete the brief setup screen, it will automatically appear on your network with the name you gave it. However, ignore the "findme.zyxel.com" setting, it just never worked. Also, ignore the downloadable Zyxel NAS Starter Utility which almost worked to initialize the NAS but then crashed at 90%. Sometimes he froze. Sometimes he could not find the NAS. Instead, just…

So far so good good for computers and accessories

Only used it one day but wanted to share my experience for now. It arrived yesterday along with 2 x 3TB drives. I installed the drives without too much trouble, 4 screws per disk, and reseated them. I then took it downstairs and installed it on my network along with two other hard drives via a dual USB3 enclosure and portable USB stick. the disk I use for working papers. Once started, I had to install the software and no problems were encountered with the NAS. I did the initialization and left.

Super Basic NAS - Home use only - SO, HO Caution

For context, we have a small office. In the best case, we have 5 employees working at the same time. Most days we had 2 to 3 days. We bought this unit because we thought we could get by with low budget NAS as we don't have a lot of employees. After all, most of our files are Office documents - Word, Quickbooks etc with the occasional AutoCAD file. Oh how naive we were. 3 weeks after installation we started to feel the weight of our indiscretion. The external hard drive backups would completely…

PLEASE READ FEEDBACK IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE INITIAL SETUP

I will update the review later but felt the need to write a review and maybe help others with their NAS326 setup. IF YOU CANNOT SETUP WITH FINDME.ZYXEL OR THE NAS STARTER UTILITY, RESTART YOUR DEVICE BY LONG HOLDING THE RESET BUTTON *AT LEAST 2 BEEPS*. THE DEVICE WILL BE RESET AND YOU CAN PERFORM THE FIRST TIME SETUP USING THE NAS STARTER UTILITY ON THE ZYXEL WEBSITE. I used to have a Lenovo ix2-dl which I mainly used to back up my hypervisor VMs. It stopped working after a little over a year…

Good entry-level NAS

I know this is a long review but bear with me... So here's the real deal with the Zyxel NAS 326. Lots of mixed reviews here; Some users had bad experiences, others good ones, so let me tell you about them. This is a decent, feature-rich, entry-level NAS. It's a good value considering its performance (excellent value for money). It supports hard drives up to 8TB (see compatibility list on Zyxel website) configured as RAID 1 (redundancy - max 8TB), RAID 0 (no redundancy but with access to the…
