I installed disks longer than I managed to set it up :(((before his death 🤣🤣🤣 After returning and buying a new one, I am very pleased with the device. A truly indispensable thing in the household. Gone are the problems with Google clouds, which must be constantly cleaned.

Pros
  • Description of functionality and brand. After returning, I bought the same model for half the price. Everything works great. Quiet. He connected himself to all the TVs. Very handy for working on the go. And do not worry that the data will die along with the disk.
Cons
  • It seems that technical support is normal, but there is no one to turn to, at the first start, after loading the system, the nas ds920 + device simply "died". So I didn't have time to make any adjustments. Apparently unlucky with the supplier. For that kind of money, it would be possible to sell it in a complete set, so that people do not bathe with the purchase of RAM and ssd for cache.

The quality is at the highest level, be sure to try it.

In general, a very worthy model with a lot of opportunities and with a reserve for the future. "Holds" all modern discs. Special mention - software. There are a lot of opportunities for managing data, backups, synchronization with clouds and mobile phones, movie collections, photos with rights delimitations, and more. Constant ates and support.

Pros
  • 1. Excellent performance (4 cores + boost 2.7GHz, 4GB) 2. The ability to expand + 4GB of RAM, who still lacked performance 3. Hot swap 4. Availability of bays for SSD buffer 2 pieces 5. Expandable (+5 HDD) with optional module, holds up to 108TB 6. Availability of 2 1 Gigabit ports with the possibility of Link Aggregation 7. Very compact size for 4 HDDs 8. Very quiet valves (unlike previous models where they whistled at low speeds) 9. Soft
Cons
  • 1. The cost could be lower 2. I would advise the manufacturer to make at least some soundproofing. 3. Plastic quality - if it was softer, the model would be quieter

Excellent product, the best quality.

Synology and that says it all. This is my 3rd model. I decided to upgrade to the latest one and switch to 4 disks for the first time. Before that there were only 2. Got pros: The soft filling in the form of DSM is wonderful. All the necessary functionality is already there out of the box. What is missing can be delivered in packages Has cons: As usual, the price is mega overpriced. Cloud station is not good friends with . But it's 's fault, unfortunately - it cuts the speed for "not its"…

I was surprised by the quality for this price.

Dream. Additionally, remote access from any location using IntNeta's maximum speed and beginning with GB of a local network channel reads and writes faster than the HDD built into the PC with the proper raid, without causing the PC to crash, and provides reliability that is impossible for a PC to achieve at a relatively low cost that servers cannot afford. Below are some advantages: Compact, which is crucial with a limited total of up to 4x drives, supports drives up to 16 TB. Several drawbacks

The quality is top notch, be sure to try it.

I confirm that you can put non-original memory. I currently have a Crucial [CT16G4SFRA266] 16 GB SODIMM. Acquired in Amazon. Everything works perfectly. Don't repeat my mistake. It will not "eat" more than 16 GB. Tried to put on 32 GB - "did not start". It also costs while one Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500 GB M.2 MZ-V7S500BW. In the future, I want to put the second one the same. Because for a full-fledged cache for reading and writing, the same pair is needed. For me now it works only for reading.

Pros
  • Excellent NAS from the inexpensive segment one of the best machines. This is my third device from this manufacturer. There were DS413j, DS415Play. I am satisfied with the purchase.
Cons
  • Small memory in the basic configuration.

I'm amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

I immediately took it with a pair of WD120EFBX disks, while working with files in bulk, it grunted its heads quite loudly. I thought it would be worse, but I decided to try creating a cache anyway. I took Samsung MZ-V7P512BW and more disks are almost inaudible. Different pros: Face recognition in Photos. Backup to a separate volume. Docker and virtualization. Files deleted by any type of access go to the trash. You can share a folder for uploading files to it, just as easy as for downloading…

I installed two WD60EFZX, dangling 850 evo on 512 idle and bought 1tb nvme cache for reading. The cache is good because the screws are not killed at this time, the percentage of hits is 60% -80%. The real score for NAS is 4 minus. this is a good device with some software flaws, rather than an ordinary craft with some pluses. For almost a week I was choosing which US to take, and as it turned out, in general, there was no choice. Given my assessment, I can say that there are apparently no…

Pros
  • Under load, the NAS is barely warm and quiet, in terms of fans. Many well-documented and useful applications, in particular: * video station + ds video * synology photos * ds note * hyper backup * drive + excellent client for vend (downloaded from official site) Convenient setup and management tools. quickconnect - lifesaver, if there is no white ip - 5+ for it. Nice box design.
Cons
  • The price is high for Celeron 4 cores and 4 GB of RAM, because. for 50k (for the summer of 2022) you can take a 3250U/16/512ssd laptop with venda. The design/usability of user applications suffers a bit - some points are not obvious. If the fans are quiet, then two WD60EFZXs crunch like French rolls under high pressure, and the NAS-a box does not try to fight it, or it is not noticeable. An undisguised rattle can sometimes be annoying. Badly. Application Disadvantages: * note station - in the web version, unlike ds note, there is no possibility (it is unlikely that it is hidden) to create a note based on url with copying the page content. Task reminder system is not flexible * audio station - in the flac+cue web client it has problems with playback (gaps), while in ds audio there are no problems, but ds audio is not available for Windows. There are no solutions with problem-free playback of one playlist with lossless under 10 venda and on android (aimp, foobar and musicbee, alas, are not exported under android). The record format for flac in m3u is custom for synology - this is a game. * problems (partially solved) with video codecs - not everything works out of the box. * in drive for android there is no synchronization for editing files locally - so the application is almost useless There is no way to migrate applications from one volume to another using native tools (you may not think about this at first). Critical - the rights distributed to folders and files do NOT apply to indexing, so all the pluses from fine-tuning access (by groups and users to subfolders and files) disappear for the video (and audio) station. This is very bad, and you have to make crutches at the shared folders level.

Bought home in addition to WD CLOUD 2 TB. Quickly installed, quickly equipped, easy to use. The buzz is embarrassing, but I think that the matter is in the hard drives, and not in the device itself. In general, for the house - a good thing. If you have more in-depth knowledge in configuring such devices, then you can configure more flexibly. Lots of settings. While flooded a small collection of films and photos. time will tell how reliable the system is.

Pros
  • Installed, equipped, working. Sturdy enough for home use. 4 winchesters. The brightness of the diode indication can be changed (and the brightness graph can be set). It is simple and clear to set up by an ordinary user.
Cons
  • Noise isolation is low. At first there were 2 hard drives of 2 TB each (WD RED) - it was quiet. I installed 2 additional 4 terabyte hard drives from the WD RED line - they buzz at about 50 decibels. not loud, but the rumble in the hallway is worth it. I wouldn't put it in a room. For memory - now 1 slot. (compared to 918+, where there are 2 slots) + 4 GB soldered on the board.

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

Its pros: Autonomy, quality, convenience, own cloud, ease of installation and maintenance With its cons: Expensive, but hdd drives are even more expensive. I would like more powerful iron, it turned out that this is not just a cell with hard

I'm amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

There was a desire to buy a second one, for different tasks. But let's wait and see how this one shows itself. Looks like I'll kill my Mail server and Amazon. But first I'll test this thing. ))))) One brakes. There's no Succu Amazon setting, sort of. In web muzzles - I'm confused, I'm used to the console. Memory is not enough, I guess. And I didn’t understand why there are slots under the SSD. In general, I'm satisfied.

Pros
  • First impressions are very positive. But wait. Then I will ate my impressions.
Cons
  • Rumbles strongly. But, here the disks are fast. This is clearly not his fault, perhaps . Fastening of disks - plastic inserts with "dowels". Looks unreliable. Workmanship - I put a three because of the fastening of the screws. Maybe not right. I'm testing.

Great Plex server and NAS in one

Yes, this NAS does a lot more than just Plex server and file server, but that's all I'm using for now. I'll update this review when I start adding significantly more features to the NAS. First, even with a Celeron processor, it has no problem transcoding live 4K video for viewing on other devices via Plex. When transcoding 4K on my iPhone XR, the CPU usage was around 5%. This means that this small NAS will most likely be able to handle multiple 4K transcoding streams simultaneously. probably…
