2009 BMW 550i M Sport - 76,000 miles*** I have had NO blue/white smoke*** I have had: High RPM - Rough operation, just a lot of transmission vibration especially between 2000-3500 RPM. - ISTA/Rheingold has no codes at all for this. At first I thought it was the suspension. I replaced the wishbones, strut bearings, tie rod ends, new tires, everything. No major changes. I've been trying to find the culprit for this for months. I just ordered new oxygen sensors hoping it would help when I saw these PCV valves were recommended and ordered them on a whim. I've heard of these bleeder valves cracking and producing the characteristic white/blue smoke from the exhaust, but I've never had anything like this. My old ones didn't even snap! General! But I replaced them anyway, and oh my god. Replacing that y was the best thing I've done on this car, and I've done a heck of a lot. MY CAR WORKS LIKE NEW AGAIN! Like I said, mine weren't cracked at all, but they were DIRTY. *** If you have an E60/E63/E64/E70 with a 4.8L N62 V8, ORDER IT NOW. Even if you don't have any severe symptoms, replacing it will make your car run like new again. You'll be amazed. I'm so happy I can cry. I know it sounds ridiculous, but any of my Bimmer buddies can attest to what it's like trying to fix a problem with your car and never being able to figure out what's wrong. It made my year.
