I ordered these products for professional use - long term, temporary, external. I read some about it on the company's website. According to the website, it's perfect for my application. I never found out because I immediately ran into problem after problem. I ordered 3 units. Read all instructions first. I won't go into every issue I had, but the first device I opened crashed while formatting a new card. The card was a spec on their website. Then I couldn't turn it on anymore. It started after a while but then hung up again. 2. Kind formats the card. After reading the product in full on their website, I found again that there was a firmware update. So I downloaded that, followed the instructions and found that the second camera appears to be formatting the card, but the file structure doesn't allow me to install new firmware. So I created it, but the camera didn't read the card. Finally, after many tries, I have the firmware on the card and I followed the instructions to install it. Short story - didn't work even after several attempts. I went to the website and called the hotline. went to a strange voicemail. So I tried again to be sure, checked the number again and got the same one. So I left a message with my number. No call back (several days have passed, still no call back). Finally, and this should tell you something about the quality control and general attention to detail, the all-weather case has a battery holder so you can charge the camera for an extended period of time. It has the wrong plug! It does not interact with the camera! Useless! This company has done a very good job with their website and marketing. When you receive the box it's like you're getting something from Apple - cool packaging, elegant, looks like a good thing. like their site. But it's a lot of smoke and mirrors. I would put it this way - if you are looking for something to play around with at home - more like an inexpensive toy time-lapse camera, then this could be for you. But he is by no means ready for more. I've found that there's no cheap way to capture high-quality, advanced outdoor time-lapse footage.
