To all the reviewers who said it was unstable, they had no legs to the end. When I got up I thought the same thing, and then my wife said it seemed like the base could go even lower instead of the 45 degrees it seemed to stop for me. It goes much further and becomes EXTREMELY stable. She loves it because her large iPad uses it as a music stand and also next to her bed to lean over her at night. This is much better than holding it to your face to read, falling asleep and flopping on your face. I will miss those laughs but this tripod is very durable, holds the iPad at any angle and is very stable.
