Reason #1. Why did I buy this. He has a belt holster, that was a priority, few seem to do that. Reason #2: Protection, I don't hit my phones that hard except for a few small drops. That's why it's the second. Reason #3. Technically, it was price. There are cheaper ones that seem good, but some seem terrible, and very few come with a holster or don't sell them separately for extra dollars. Now I just put this on my phone, lg g8 thinQ. This enables wireless charging on the Anker charger, which is what we wanted. It seems to help with small drops (we'll see in an updated review). This is not a complete case of hardship per se (1)*. It feels good in the hand and prevents the phone from slipping, knowing the g8 it slips everywhere!. It might seem a bit bulky to some, but what do you expect as phones get bigger? The screen faces down and has cutouts for buttons and the like. It then slides into the back, which has a rubber interior and a plastic exterior, where I think it gets rear protection. Overall I like this product, time will tell how it holds up.
