Replacement for AEM 30-2130-150

When the oil pressure sensor started on my Cobra Factory Five replica with Coyote 5.0 liter supercharged engine From reading the readings I suspected that the oil pressure sensor I was using might be the culprit I have a standalone AEM ECU along with a CD-7 digital gauge cluster and I remembered that when I was putting the car together had used a generic sensor not using AEM for oil pressure while the rest was AEM I was skeptical at first but after downloading and reading the specs it became clear that this sensor is indeed a good replacement for AEM, in fact this sensor is even better as it has a better accuracy of +-0.15% of linearity full scale vs 1% and a higher operating temperature range of 125°C vs 105°C The sensor also uses a higher quality 316L stainless steel construction compared to AEM's combination of 304L and 316L. Regarding the wiring, I contacted the manufacturer (Phoenix Sensors) but they couldn't tell me if the pigtail connectors were connected the same way as AEM, they could only tell me how their sensors were connected, so after After looking at the sensor wiring diagrams AEM and Phoenix I decided to order this sensor. Here's what you should find out: The Poenix sensor is the same overall length and uses the same 3-pin Packard as the AEM, except the ground and power wires are reversed and the signal wire is in the same place, so force that one out Sensor to actually be Easy to use, just swap the polarity of the positive and negative terminals. You can reconnect the existing AEM connector if you have a tool, or you can just cut the 3rd AEM pin and solder on the pigtail that came with the sensor, it will still work. After installation, I started the engine and the oil pressure gauge read correctly without hesitation. For a difference of about $70 and a minor change in wiring, I'd say the install was successful. Hope this helps others.
