Review on Chaps Womens Straight Pencil Skirt by Keith Ostby

A bit confusing for women

This was part of an order from Prime Wardrobe; When it arrived folded up in a small pouch among my other 7 items, I sincerely thought I was sent home in a good way, like a blanket or a tablecloth - it was so thick and like a blanket. The fact that the pattern on the label said "Holiday" only added to the confusion. Because it turns out it would be useful to throw it on your Christmas table against the backdrop of a crackling fireplace. On the internet, at least, he looked kind of thin and skinny (see hemline on model). But not like that, mon amie. So fat! Since it's July in Texas and it's literally 104 degrees, I didn't even want to try it on. But I did. While I didn't hate it, the 3X was too big for me no matter how bulky it was. Nice and stretchy. Normally I need 3X for my tops, but I think for skirts, with such very elastic waistbands (which also hide a lot of sins), I would go down a size here. This would be very comfortable for thicker thighs and anyone endowed with a bigger butt than I was brutally denied. This is when you can handle the holiday check pattern. It doesn't happen often, but it does look more expensive in person than pictures online. And when paired with my Doc Martens it can definitely be styled more edgy. What do the nice folks at Chaps think about that?! It hit me just below the knee, I'm 5ft 5in tall. I was considering buying 1X but the price difference between sizes is annoying. It's impossible to pay three times more for less fabric, no; it's just not gorgeous enough. Oh, and I'd really like to look at the fabric composition/care label because I can't figure out that it's actually 100% cotton. Cotton doesn't stretch as much as wool. So be careful. Decent quality, dubious size and fabric composition, and definitely winter weight.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Too silly
