Conceptually this Dynon Metrics BulletDrive USB Flash Drive with Fingerprint Reader is exactly what security-conscious people need. This drive is a "precision-machined metal alloy" anti-fingerprint USB 3.0 flash drive. Upon unboxing, I immediately appreciated the build quality, size, and security of this drive. Unfortunately, performance is inconsistent. The fingerprint scanner is similar to first generation Android devices. If anyone remembers those days, you probably remember preferring PIN unlocking to fingerprint locking because the technology just wasn't ready for widespread adoption. The same applies here. This drive is a winning idea, but we'll probably have to wait for version 2 to get the expected level of reliability. 2.0 out of 5.0.
