We live in a van and bought a desktop model but couldn't find it. Our mattress got wet from condensation on the metal wall, and by default, condensation from the shower, dishes, and cooking pooled on the windows when the AC wasn't in use. Decided to change mattresses and found the plank in the sleeping compartment was moldy! I've read reviews about this model and I'm very happy to report that it fills the device at least once a day. I don't have room to put the hose in the sink, but the unit shuts off when full. Within an hour of our windows fogging up, the dampness was gone. It blows cool air into the room, but I don't mind knowing I won't get black mold! In any case, air circulation will not hurt! I now have a less than stellar headboard model and there has been no condensation since using this model. The smaller one still takes about four days to fill a glass of water! This larger model takes up some coveted floor space, but because it keeps going and going we're happy with our purchase! Back to a comfortable life!
